Product Description

The pinnacle of remote switch design for weapon-mounted accessories, AXON™ provides complete control of lights and lasers in a single, compact and rugged housing. AXON™ is the direct result of operational feedback from professional end-users on Unity’s industry-leading switch technology. Lights and lasers can be fired from individual buttons with versions available for popular-issued devices.

Standard AXON™ models feature each button firing devices independently.

SYNC models fire the laser independently, while the light button will fire both light and laser simultaneously.

AXON™ mounts directly to M1913 Rail or M-LOK® (with optional AXON™ M-LOK® Mounting Kit), while the Rail Clamps feature pass-throughs for zip ties. Its unique design provides tactile differentiation between the two buttons to eliminate confusion in dark, cold, and high-stress situations. The light (angled) button features a switch that allows for both momentary and constant activation, while the laser button features a momentary-only button that supports the laser’s double-click-for-constant-on feature.

Axon unity switch

I’d save your money and buy something else. The IR laser button is extremely difficult to operate. The button is recessed in the plastic which makes operating the switch hard.

FINALLY…

I’ve been waiting for this switch for longer than I’d like to admit. I run a Sirefire and a MAWL. I have the Sync version so the light and laser work at the same time with the angled button. I’ve been waiting to have the angled Hot Button style that runs both light and laser and it’s finally here! It works exactly as intended. I like having the second button for laser only especially for IR situations but I personally didn’t need it. The MAWL has its own buttons for that. That being said it’s super convenient and I use it often. It has a smaller profile than the Unity Taps so it takes up a lot less space on SBRs. The angled button has that nice tactile click for constant on and off. The other button is a momentary only and has a nice feel, similar to the TAPS. In fact it’s probably the same design.

My only criticism is the leads run out the top or front of the switch and may be intended for longer barrels. I like to run my switch as far forward on the rail because my hand sits further up. Because of that, the 7in leads make it a tight fit. To be clear, it fits but there’s not a lot of wiggle room. I would like to have the option of a 9in lead or the leads come out the bottom.

That’s just for my rifle though. There are several guys that use it and they grip closer to the mag so the switch does exactly what I expect it was made for.

To sum it all up, I would 100% recommend getting the AXON if you use a light and laser together. Our Unit is currently discussing whether to go to this switch for everyone.
