One of the best AK handguards I have ever used!
So I had an RS-Regulate extended handguard on several different Arsenal AKs and I absolutely love them. They are very lightweight and are a good alternative to a Zenitco in my opinion. It, when compared to TDI Arms or other shorter AK handguards makes mounting lights and NVD further forward to keep the stream of light from being blocked by the AK front sight and barrel.
I recently picked up a Zastava M90NP, Yugo pattern AK, that is not "directly" compatiable with the standard Russian/Bulgarian AKM style and where extended handguards that are currently being made are too heavy by themselves. So with metal cutters, rubber mallet, lot of measuring and without having to modify the Yugo receiver, I was able to fit the handguard onto a Yugo pattern 1.5mm stamped-sheet receiver and it looks and feels amazing. Ill soon be refinishing and polishing it to have it match the Yugo receiver better later on. Its lightweight, pretty durable, and comes with QD points for my Vikings Tactical sling (sling is not in the photo currently).
I wouldnt recommend putting this AK handguard on a Yugo pattern unless you worked with both as there are many things that needed to be modified, though with time, effort, research and knowledge, it can work.
